Staying for an extended period with your little one in Tucson? The local Desert Museum has a host of activities and outings for kids, including the Preschool Program designed for children ages 2-5. The Coati Pups Preschool and Toddler Program is a precursor to the Coati Club for kids. It lets children enjoy live animal encounters in a safe and fun environment. All programs include a full exploration of the grounds, a snack and a craft to take back to your spacious guest room.
Remember that last-minute special classes and camps are added all the time, so keep in touch with the Desert Museum for the latest offerings. However, currently scheduled in spring is the Super Snakes on March 10, Desert Music on April 7, and you’re welcome to visit the museum any time during opening hours for self-guided tours.
Preschoolers must have an adult accompaniment, and admission is $18 for non-member children. Pre-registration is required, so book your session early. Learning about the flora and fauna of local Arizona wildlife is an exciting and educational way to make the most of your time in Tucson.
