Tucson Jazz Festival


January 11 – 21 marks the annual Tucson Jazz Festival with performances every day. Score your tickets for just $35 – $45, which include all shows (with the option to add on UAPResents and Tucson Symphony performances). The HSL Properties Tucson Jazz Festival draws jazz lovers from across the nation for phenomenal acts in idyllic January weather.

For 2018, acts include Sheila E., Arturo Sandoval, the Hot Sardines, Spyro Gyra, and many more. Venues around town include the Fox Theatre, Scottish Rite Cathedral, Club Congress, Tucson Music Hall, and the UA Crowder Hall. There’s also a free Downtown Jazz Fiesta on Monday, January 15 featuring a variety of stages outdoors from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Get Your Dancing Shoes On

As part of the Tucson Desert Song Festival, the annual jazz shindig is dishing up Warren Wolf on the vibraphone January 16. You’ll also see tenor saxophonist Lew Tabackin and his “trio of graces” on January 17. Don’t miss out on Diane Schuur, Grammy winner, singer, and pianist at The Fox on the 18th or pianist Bill Charlap followed by Leonard Bernstein at the Desert Song Festival.

With the Tucson Jazz Institute Ellington Band and The Mingus Dynasty as part of the lineup, this is the most exciting year yet. More information and tickets can be found at the official site.
